Firearm purchase from private individuals
The market for used firearms in Germany is overcrowded. In particular, the market for used hunting guns has almost collapsed. Many dealers are already no longer buying hunting guns because they cannot market them profitably.

The reasons for the glut of used guns are manifold. The generation that started buying firearms after the war is slowly getting to the age where they want to get rid of them. Hunters, sport shooters and collectors are lacking a new generation of interested people, and the increasingly stringent legal regulations and the resulting pressure are increasingly spoiling the hobby of legal firearms owners in Germany. In addition, economic reasons are increasingly leading to the abandonment of the hobby, especially in recent times. Since supply and demand regulate the price, this has naturally led to a sharp drop in prices overall.
Due to our international sales opportunities and our tight company organization, we can still provide you with good and significantly higher prices than many of our colleagues, even under these tougher general conditions. We buy everything - no matter whether it is an exquisite hunting gun, an expensive sporting gun or a rare collector's weagunpon. Even large quantities of gun are no problem for us. Your old Anschütz, Blaser, Colt, Smith & Wesson or Grandpa's Flobert - we consider every gun to be a piece of cultural heritage worth preserving and we also have an interested buyer for every gun, even for supposed "scrap". Of course, we guarantee a safe, discreet and legally impeccable handling of the purchase. For further information please read the frequently asked questions (FAQ) or request further information via our contact form. We are also at your disposal by telephone. We are looking forward to get in touch with you!

Firearm purchase from tradesman
Constantly shrinking sales markets and at the same time continuously rising operating costs, lead to economically increasingly difficult times for the established arms trade. It is precisely in these times that the question of short-term liquidity arises more and more frequently for small and medium-sized enterprises. Hardly any entrepreneur can afford to hoard dead capital in the form of "stock corpses".
Customers who buy a new firearm often give a used firearm in payment and so the stock continues to increase. We take over these inventories and due to our international sales capabilities and our tight operational organization we can usually pay you higher prices than the competition. If we have aroused your interest, we look forward to hearing from you.

Frequently asked Questions (FAQ)
1How can I be sure that the company ClassicGuns e.K. is authorized to purchase my guns?
The company ClassicGuns e.K., founded at the beginning of 2018, is specialized in the international marketing of collector's guns, hunting and sporting guns. Of course, we have a corresponding guns trading permit (permission according to § 21 paragraph 1 sentence 1 WaffG), which was granted by the district administration in Ahrweiler.

You can have the validity of our guns trading permit confirmed by the guns authority responsible for you. Please quote our following identification numbers from the National Guns Register (NWR):

NWR ID Dealer License:
E2018-05-03-0000582-E

NWR-ID of the company ClassicGuns e.K.:
F2018-06-07-0000016-X

As a reputable retail company, we are also a full member of the Koblenz Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the professional association of retail and goods logistics and the Association of German Gunsmiths and Firearms Dealers (VDB).
2What documents do you need for an initial assessment of the guns for sale?
For an initial overview and as a basis for all further steps, we initially only require the relevant data from the National Guns Register (NWR). As a rule, it is most useful if you send us your so-called NWR master data sheet for this purpose. If you do not yet have this NWR data, please ask your responsible firearms authority for it. With your consent, we can also contact your firearms authority directly and ask them to send us the required data by e-mail. Of course, we will treat this data confidentially.
3How do you determine the value of guns for sale?
Based on the NWR data, we can give you an initial rough estimate of whether a sale is worthwhile or not. For a serious appraisal and pricing, however, we must inspect each individual gun personally by hand. We consider remote diagnoses as well as appraisals based on pictures to be dubious and therefore do not offer them in our mutual interest.

When we have the guns, we assess each gun individually and transparently for you. Among other things, we check the external condition, the functionality of the mechanics and the condition of the barrel. We assess the market value of the gun according to our experience and, if necessary, on the basis of appropriate references (e.g. auction results or relevant catalogs).

We calculate our purchase price on this basis according to fair, commercial points of view and without "pulling you over the table", because we live from our good reputation! Of course, we cannot pay you the price that you would possibly achieve in a private sale. But you will benefit from our expertise and possibly save yourself some trouble.

If you do not like our offer, we do not charge you for our efforts, so there is no risk for you!
4How do the firearms get to ClassicGuns e.K.?
Basically, there are three options available:

a) You deliver the guns to us personally by appointment. We will be happy to explain the legal regulations to be observed here to you if required.

b) You pack the guns according to our specifications and then receive from us a consignment bill free of charge with which you can deliver the package to DHL. We have a business customer contract with DHL, which includes the shipment of weapons in accordance with the law. Of course, the guns are sufficiently insured. If you do not like our offer, you will also receive your weapons back free of charge via DHL.

c) In the case of a larger number of high-quality guns, we will also be happy to inspect them locally at your place. The journey takes place with a neutral vehicle and we naturally pay attention to discretion. Should we come to an agreement, we will take the guns with us. This option is free of charge, even if we should not agree - we carry the risk.
5Do you also buy ammunition, free firearms, reloading components and other accessories?
If we buy your firearms for which a permit is required, we will also be happy to make you an offer for ammunition, free firearms, reloading components and other accessories. However, when it comes to ammunition, please note that as a commercial dealer we are only allowed to trade ammunition in unopened original packaging and with an official inspection mark (CIP inspection). If the ammunition does not meet these criteria, we can only accept it for destruction. This service is free of charge. If residues of propellant powders have to be disposed of, we will also do this free of charge and professionally (we have the appropriate permit in accordance with the Explosives Act).
6How do I receive the purchase price?
In the case of a personal transfer, i.e. delivery by you or us picking up the gun, you will receive the purchase price on request directly in cash or alternatively by bank transfer. If the transfer takes place by shipment, the payment will be made by bank transfer to your account. In the case of cash payment, you acknowledge receipt of the money to us on a corresponding receipt. Upon request, we will gladly send you a confirmation of the paid purchase price (important for communities of heirs or similar!).
7How is the transfer of the guns documented?
Of course, you will receive a written confirmation from us that we have taken over your guns. In addition, we transfer the guns directly electronically to our company in the National Guns Register. Your competent weapons authority will then also "see" the transfer there.
8What else do I have to do after transferring my guns to ClassicGuns e.K.?
After transferring the guns to us, you must have them removed from the guns possession card at your weapons authority within 14 days (obligation to report the transfer in accordance with § 34 Para. 2 WaffG)). We will be happy to assist you with this notification of transfer, if required.
